London (pts006/14.07.2005/08:00) - Nadav Palti, President and CEO of Dori Media Group Ltd. ("DMG"), the international media company active in the production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of Telenovela, announced that Dr. Conrad Heberling has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Yair Dori International GmbH ("YDI"), a wholly owned subsidiary of DMG based in Zurich, Switzerland. He takes over from Mr. Reuven (Ruvik) Shaham, who is leaving YDI to pursue other interests. Dr. Heberling, a well-known figure in the media industry in Europe, will assume his new responsibilities from 1 September, 2005.
As CEO of YDI, Conrad Heberling's role will include marketing the Group's TV series to international broadcasters, developing strategic partnerships with leading Latin American producers for the production and distribution of Telenovelas and formats, as well as developing cooperation agreements with large broadcasters and merchandising companies to increase merchandising of Telenovela branded products, Music CDs, DVDs and videos.
Conrad Heberling has extensive experience in the entertainment industry having served as Marketing Director of RTL II Television and of El Cartel Media GmbH, the station's advertising sales house, since 1998. As one of the top executives at RTL II, his role was to implement and develop new business opportunities by exploiting movie/series partnerships with major production and merchandising companies such as 20th Century Fox, Universal, and Sony-BMG. During his tenure, the company's profits significantly improved.
