Small plane from Germany flies around the earth

German round-the-world flyers land in Nagasaki, Hiroshima and Asahikawa

Two German hobby pilots are on a trip around the world with a single-motor Cessna: 52,000 kilometres, 30 countries and 50 landings in 80 days. Pilot Uwe Thomas Carstensen (60) and his co-pilot Hans Christian Albertsen (59) will land in Nagasaki on August 18, in Hiroshima on August 20 and August 22 in Asahikawa. Their Cessna T260H is decorated with pictures of red roses and inscribed with the name "Marie" - a declaration of love from the pilot to his wife Maria Carstensen.
