Vienna (pte017/16.04.2013/11:39) - Vienna's summer pools are opening in just three weeks and will offer various additional activities such as playgrounds, paddling pools, beach-volleyball and football grounds.
The summer swimming pools will open on May, 2nd until the end of the season on September, 15th.
However due to the prolonged winter, staff are working against the clock to get the pools ready for the opening weekend - or even the week before, if the weather is warm enough.
Managing director of the Kongressbad swimming pool Hermann Wibner said: "We still have to clean out the pools, lockers and changing rooms. We also still have to take care of the sun bed field, cut down bushes and clean all the sun beds. There's plenty of work for everyone here."
Most summer pools will be open from 9 am until 7 pm and until 8 pm after May, 15th. Swimming pools can close from 3 pm in case of bad weather.
