CLANMO wins International Advertising Award 2010

- CLANMO receives bronze medal in the category of Motion/Mobile Marketing

All good things come in ... fours. CLANMO has now been awarded for its work at New York Festivals for the IKEA PS furnishing camera. The festival committee gave the international advertising award to the prize winner of the year 2010 at the awards ceremony on 12th June 2010 in Shanghai. After re-ceiving gold at this year's Global Mobile Awards and silver in the German Dialogue Award and New Media Award, CLANMO has received the bronze medal here for the IKEA App in the category of Mo-tion/Mobile Marketing.

The New York Festivals have represented one of the most well-known creative competitions world-wide for around 50 years. In 2010, the best international works from a total of 45 countries and cul-tural spheres were viewed and evaluated by a renowned jury. At the specialist competition "Adver-tising in all Media", creative projects in categories such as Print, Outdoor, Radio, TV, Design and also Motion/Mobile Marketing were presented. CLANMO secured its bronze medals in mobile sub-category "Avantgarde" at the International Advertising Award 2010.

With the IKEA PS Mobile Interior Planning Tool, the Swedish furniture store has given its customers a mobile planning tool for home furnishing. The IKEA PS furniture is stored in the app and appears on the cell phone screen when selected by the user. With the aid of the camera built into the telephone, an image of the furnishings selected can then be stitched into a snapshot of the customer's own four walls to give a better sense of how it would look on location. Rather than rely on imagination alone to provide some sense of how the new acquisition might look, Augmented Reality is used to let cus-tomers see the new objects "live" in their potential new surroundings. CLANMO developed the idea and concept of the winning App with strategic input from Ogilvy One Germany.
