New learning methodology in United Arab Emirates

Zurich (pts041/21.04.2005/15:00) - Swiss based Targetsim AG opens its new offices in Dubai. The leading provider of business simulations will support companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to boost their performance.

Headquartered in the Dubai Knowledge Village, Targetsim FZ-LLC brings a new learning methodology to the United Arab Emirates: the company is the first business simulation firm in the gulf region. This interactive methodology, also known as 'business board games' is a highly effective way to make complex structures and processes of a business easily understandable for employees of all management levels.

Already boasting regional signature clients such as the Central Bank of Oman, business simulations create a substantive, but entertaining atmosphere for companies to help employees understand strategic goals and internal procedures. "The simulation methodology is proven to be much more effective than traditional classroom training or case studies," says Targetsim CEO Dr. Gudrun G. Vogt.

Targetsim will offer a complete range of its services including development and delivery of customized simulations to the private and public sector. The individual needs of each company are met, as the simulations represent specific structures and processes, modelled on a game board. All assets and costs are represented three dimensionally. Comprehensive know-how is delivered via 2-3 day seminars where participants form the management team of various departments in one simulated company or of competing companies. Highly qualified facilitators, typically holding advanced degrees, serve as moderators. Targetsim views the Dubai office as part of its commitment to continued growth in the UAE and the entire gulf region.
