ART & ENERGY" Enthralls at Kunsthaus Mikizzaner Voitsberg
International Art Meets Regional Music

graz (ptp010/14.09.2025/20:55) - With a festive fanfare by trumpet duo Manfred Martin Mulej & Maria Mulej, the exhibition "ART & ENERGY" was ceremoniously opened at Kunsthaus Mikizzaner. The Mikizzaner platform and the Bärn-Art project presented a cultural highlight that seamlessly blended international art with regional musical excellence.

A Celebration of Energy and Emotion

Initiator Ing. Michaela Lukmann and scientific director Waltraut Chimani welcomed the numerous guests with heartfelt words. President Gerhard H.J. Fruhmann MA spoke about the "profound frequency of art" and its energetic significance for both society and the individual. Mayor Mag. Bernd Osprian praised the dedication of Lukmann's team and officially opened the exhibition by cutting the symbolic red ribbon—joined by art models, curator Heidi Falk-Koller, Prof. Dr. ?uboslav Moza, and other contributors.

Music That Moves

Maria Mulej performed four musical "delicacies," including her trumpet solo "Hills," which served as a poignant transition to the honoring of dedicated individuals—evoking goosebumps and joyful tears.

Honoring Commitment and Vision

Special recognition was given to Mag. Ing. Evelyn Fasch and Josefine Rosenzopf for their significant contributions to the Mikizzaner platform and the Bärn-Art project. All participating artists were honored by the curatorial team with certificates and presentations of their works.

Prof. Dr. ?uboslav Moza spoke about the philosophical depth of contemporary art and emphasized the role of the Mikizzaner platform as an international stage for creative expression. Curator Heidi Falk-Koller introduced her curatorial concept "Art & Energy"—a vision that places collaboration and the energetic impact of art at its core.

Art as a Mirror of Society

Ing. Michaela Lukmann presented a critical energy balance between continents, highlighting the global energy consumption driven by questionable consumer behavior. Particularly striking: the artwork "Mountain Meadow with Calf in Lightbulb" by Helmut Bartl—a powerful symbol of nature sacrificed for digital convenience.

Waltraut Kompein-Chimani explored the scientific dimension of energy in art—between synergy and diversion—offering new perspectives on the interplay between aesthetics and sustainability.

An International Art Event with Regional Soul

The exhibition features over 159 works by 48 artists from six nations—a cultural kaleidoscope on display at Kunsthaus & Galerie Mikizzaner until the end of September 2025. The Mikizzaner platform and Bärn-Art define themselves as open, nonpartisan organizations that make art and culture from Voitsberg visible beyond national borders.

A Night of Encounters and New Beginnings

The evening concluded with Michaela Lukmann's words: "May Art & Energy remain with us—within our hearts, souls, and minds."

The aftershow party at Cafe Bar UP Voitsberg continued into the late hours, sparking new friendships and international projects—a night that redefined Voitsberg's creative future.
