Zurich (ptp037/05.08.2024/15:00) - From August 21st to 25th, visitors to the SWISSARTEXPO 2024 at the SBB Event Hall in Zurich Main Station can immerse themselves in the evocative and thought-provoking artworks of Ars Silentium.
Ars Silentium's works delve into the intricate and timeless beauty of forests, highlighting their ecological significance and the pressing need for their conservation. In an era where modernity poses numerous threats to these ancient ecosystems, Ars Silentium's art serves as both a celebration of nature's splendor and a poignant reminder of the impact of human actions. "My pictures are intended to show the beauty of the forests, which contradict the challenges of today. Beauty that is disturbed by our actions," explains Ars Silentium. "My work should be an inspiration. Question your own relationship to nature. Where am I? What am I doing? Nature doesn't need us. But we need nature."
Raised with a deep appreciation for nature, Ars Silentium spent much of his childhood exploring the forests, which became his playground and sanctuary. This early connection to nature profoundly influenced his artistic vision, driving him to capture the essence of forests through his lens. His journey into photography was born out of a desire to preserve the beauty of the natural world and to share it with others.
His work is divided into four distinct categories:
Woodland Poetry: This category focuses on the delicate and intricate aspects of the forest, such as twigs and branches. Ars Silentium aims to bring viewers closer to the beauty of the forest.
Whispering trees: This segment explores the relationship between trees and their surroundings, breaking through the constant noise of the digital age with the stillness of nature.
Ominous secrets: This category reveals the mysterious aspects of fog-shrouded landscapes, where the imaginary becomes vividly real.
Lonely Entities: This segment centers on the solitary beauty of trees, emphasizing their ever-present yet isolated existence, a metaphor for modern connectivity and solitude.
In addition to his compelling exhibitions, Ars Silentium has received notable recognition in the media. In January 2024, he was featured in the "Werdenberger & Obertoggenburger" newspaper with an exclusive interview, where he discussed his artistic process and the themes that drive his work. This feature highlighted his unique approach to photography and his dedication to environmental conservation.
Ars Silentium's participation in the SWISSARTEXPO 2024 is highly anticipated. Visitors to this year's exhibition can expect to be captivated by the profound beauty and underlying messages of his work. Each piece serves as a call to action, urging us to recognize our dependence on nature and the urgent need to protect it.For more information about Ars Silentium and his compelling body of work, stay tuned to his website: https://arssilentium.com
