Zurich (ptp026/31.07.2024/15:00) - From August 21st to 25th, 2024, the innovative work of David and Viktoria Pflugi will be showcased at SWISSARTEXPO, hosted at Zürich's Main Station.

Renowned Swiss artist David Pflugi, together with his wife Viktoria, will present their captivating collaborative artwork at SWISSARTEXPO 2024. This artwork Exit IV will be displayed from August 21st to 25th, 2024, at the SBB Event Hall in Zürich.

David Pflugi is the creator of Fusionism, an unprecedented form of art that seamlessly combines sculpting and painting with novel forms of media, human interaction, and cutting- edge technology. His vision is that there is no such thing as a flat surface, offering endless opportunities through his three-dimensional perspectives. Observers are invited to explore individual motifs from varying angles, creating a desire for active participation.

"Just as life, Fusionism requires movement. Through movement, you yourself can create the images you perceive," says David Pflugi. "Fusionism gifts the ability to find a new way of seeing."

The artwork called "Exit IV" is a part of a series that intricately explores life's monotony and the futility of its cyclical nature yet inviting the observer to take the chance to trust themselves to look up. This piece (on display), like others in the series, delves deeply into self-reflection, symbolizing the hope that emerges when we dare to question ourselves and our ecosystem. Inspired by the "Bolero" cartoon by Ivan Maximov and accompanied by Maurice Ravel's famous composition, these artworks transcend the notion of the short film into a fusionist masterpiece. The series highlights how life's events influence our ecosystem, with us as the central characters navigating through the maze of existence.

David and Viktoria's collaborative efforts exemplify the power of co-creation, resulting in profound and thought-provoking works that invite viewers to engage actively. Their participation in this year's SWISSARTEXPO promises to be a highlight, offering visitors a chance to experience Fusionism and its unique perspective on life's cyclical nature.
