Zurich (ptp031/08.08.2022/15:00) - At this year's SWISSARTEXPO from 24 - 28 August in the halls of Zurich's main railway station, art lovers can look forward to the exciting experience of discovering a unique creation by Swiss artist Guido Lötscher.
"In painting, a consciousness reveals itself to me that liberates and at the same time stimulates my intuition and creative work" - according to this personal insight, Guido Lötscher creates impressive paintings that stand out due to their intense colouring and accents marked by passionate brushwork. Inspired by the work of Mark Rothko, the artist's muse unfolded into "metaphysical" color field painting, the development of which also led him to the squeegee technique and abstract art. In his works, Lötscher sets himself the daring challenge of uniting the harmony of colors and forms, spontaneous expressions and meditative depths together to form a great whole.
Lötscher succeeds in this on all levels - on closer inspection of his works it quickly becomes clear that the multi-layered applications of paint, scrapings and overlays, which at first glance may seem random, are skilfully staged and result in a masterly composition that is able to convey a powerful, energetic effect to the viewer, which nevertheless at the same time carries a deep calm and balance. His own spontaneous but detailed perception transforms an impression into a work of art that the viewer can feel. In this way, Lötscher offers the viewer a great deal of creative space for individually experiencing and interpreting his harmonious art.
Incidentally, visitors to the art exhibition will look in vain for a title for his painting, which is exhibited in its original form. For this is precisely where the absolute freedom of interpretation and the boundless imagination for an individual experience come into play. "It is not the name that should characterise the work, but only its appearance. The best thing is not to have to limit oneself, not to be given any specifications and simply to let the senses wander in all possible directions and absorb the feeling completely," explains the artist. A wonderful experience and a great enrichment for the annual art festival.
