Zurich (ptp036/12.08.2020/13:00) - The Swiss artist Pl2j will exhibit his unique metal works and his new artist catalogue in the Zurich Main Station Hall during the SWISSARTEXPO from 20 to 24 August 2020. The SWISSARTEXPO is an art festival that offers talented artists the opportunity to present their works digitally or in their original form in one of the most visited halls in Europe.
The artist Pl2j - an abbreviation for "Pierre les 2 Jardins" - bases his artistic work on the reuse of recycled materials, which he transforms into wonderful artworks using various craft techniques. His creations express an encounter between the past and the new, which is revealed in the fusion of partly used metal and glamorous shiny elements.
This mixture of different materials defies the current rhetoric of contemporary art, which focuses on the aspect of absolute beauty created by the human hand. In addition to his sculptures and jewellery, Pl2j also demonstrates his creative skills in drawings and paintings with ink, acrylic and oil paints. He declares artistic creation to be a gift that does not require any effort - it just flows. This is also reflected in his works, regardless of their form and the materials used, by a refreshing lightness and playfulness.
At this year's SWISSARTEXPO in Zurich's main station hall Pl2j will exhibit a composition of nine artworks. These extraordinary and innovative metal works are freestanding sculptures as well as suspended pictures. The new artist catalogue of Pl2j will also be on display to give visitors an even deeper insight into his creative work. The catalogue will feature ten exquisite works of art, such as his authentic Plexiglas creations, various oil paintings and other works made of recycled metal.
The SWISSARTEXPO will take place from 20 to 24 August 2020 in the SBB Event Hall at the Zurich Main Station and is free for all visitors.
