Zurich (ptp023/05.08.2020/13:00) - The artist Alexandra Kordas will present three of her artworks digitally in the Zurich Main Station Hall as part of SWISSARTEXPO from 20 to 24 August 2020. Her newly published art catalogue will also be available to visitors. The SWISSARTEXPO is an art festival that offers talented and upcoming artists the opportunity to present their works in one of the most visited halls in Europe.
Two years ago Alexandra Kordas painted her first piece of art and she has not put down her brush ever since. To this day, in addition to numerous paintings, she has also created sculptures from a wide variety of materials. Kordas has presented her works to the public in two exhibitions so far. Although she only began to create art two years ago, her entry into art and creativity was already paved for her in her childhood. She attended a Waldorf school for ten years, where special emphasis was placed on artistic and craft activities. Before her career as an artist, Kordas studied English and trained as an actress.
"Art comes from the depth of the soul and does not need to be constructed"
Between heaven and hell, life and death, joy and pain - the artworks of Alexandra Kordas always move between these contrasts, which life inevitably brings with it. The motif of the Christ Cross, which plays a central role in most of her works, symbolizes for her precisely those two poles of life and thus does not relate to theological meaning. Art gives Alexandra Kordas the opportunity to open herself up in a way she would have thought impossible before. Here she can reveal her soul and express her feelings unfiltered, which she could not do with words alone.
At the SWISSARTEXPO 2020 the artist will digitally exhibit two paintings and one of her sculptures. Her new artist catalogue will also be available on site to give visitors an even deeper insight into her creative work. The exhibition will take place from 20 to 24 August 2020 in the SBB Event Hall at Zurich Main Station.
