Zurich (ptp034/03.08.2020/13:00) - The artist Heike Pohl will be represented from 20 to 24 August 2020 in the Zurich Main Station Hall during the SWISSARTEXPO with a selection of eight works of art as well as her new artist catalogue. The SWISSARTEXPO is an art festival that offers talented and upcoming artists the opportunity to exhibit their works digitally or in original form in one of the most visited halls in Europe.
Heike Pohl is a young and dynamic artist living in Munich, Germany. Her family has cherished art for generations. Her great-grandfather was a collector of artists such as Andy Warhol and Joseph Beuys. Inspired by such great names, Pohl constantly tries to push her own artistic boundaries.
Her multicultural background helped her to achieve this attitude, among other things. Pohl was born in Bern, Switzerland, grew up in the western USA, graduated with Abitur in Germany and studied various subjects in Berlin, Bucharest and Munich. "Life is like riding a bicycle," she quotes. "To keep your balance, you have to keep moving." In addition to her artistic work, her two children, who challenge Pohl's creativity and flexibility on a daily basis, also ensure that she never stops moving and always keeps her balance in life.
When creating art, Heike Pohl does not limit herself to one technique or the use of certain materials. She freely experiments with whatever arouses her interest, be it glass art or painting on canvas in figurative or abstract style. Regardless of the art style, Pohl combines her work with the healing process of reflection.
The viewers of her artworks should feel encouraged to pause and look into the depths of their own feelings and their humanity in order to get a little closer to themselves. To make this possible, the artist consciously decides against a defined interpretation of her art - the viewers should follow their own path of thought and find their own personal conclusion.
As part of ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 2.0, eight of Heike Pohl's extraordinary artworks will be made digitally accessible to the public. Furthermore, her newly published artist catalogue will be available for visitors to view. ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 2.0 will take place as part of the SWISSARTEXPO art festival from 20th to 24th August 2020 in the SBB Event Hall at Zurich Main Station.
The catalogue can now also be ordered at https://artbox-publish.myshopify.com/products/heike-pohl?_pos=1&_sid=efa5d6b6f&_ss=r or on Amazon.
