Zurich, Switzerland/Miami (ptp031/28.11.2019/14:00) - The Spanish artist Amelia García announces today that she will digitally present an exquisite selection of her artworks as part of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Miami 2.0 during the Miami Art Week. The ARTBOX.PROJECT Miami 2.0 will take place from 2nd to 8th December in an art gallery situated right next to the world-famous Wynwood Walls and the annual Art Basel fair in Miami, Florida.
For more than twenty-five years, Amelia García has developed and refined her artistic skills, mainly in the area of painting, and passed on her knowledge to her students as a teacher of Fine Arts. With her husband who is also a painter and sculptor, she has founded the company "art terra", an art company located in Atapeurca in the Northern part of Spain. Looking back, she knows that her family and the company have delayed her artistic development. Since 2018, however, she has concentrated all her energy on her career as an artist, and it paid off. In 10 months she has created over 60 pictorial works of art which are commissioned by various collectors and companies. This year, she has already exhibited in Madrid and Milano, and the last months of the year will stay busy: In December, she takes part in the ARTBOX.PROJECT Miami 2.0 and then she ends the year with the participation in the Luxembourg Art Fair. García says, it is thanks to one important person in her life who has given her a new vision of her own art and great confidence in herself, to pursue her career in such a dedicated manner.
"I love painting above being an artist", states García when asked about what motivates her to her works of art. She feels alive when she paints, it is the way through which she experiences and perceives the world, externalizes emotions and how she gets closer to her soul. It is all about turning experience into paintings.
The main objective of her work is to show the intimate connection between nature and herself. Currently, she has divided her work into two collections: Firstly, there are valleys and landscapes. The valleys remind her of her roots and symbolize her family and her beginning. Secondly, she dedicates her work to the oceans of this world. Even though her life mainly has taken place in Atapuerca in Spain, her heart and her roots are Mediterranean. All of this, she reflects it in her work; it is a proclamation of love and respect towards the seas.
Although she dedicates a lot of effort and time into the development of her oil paintings on large format canvases, she still loves to experiment and realize new ideas with different material in upcoming projects.
All art-lovers are cordially invited to view Amelia García's digitally presented artworks at the Eduardo Lira Art Gallery on 2nd Avenue in Wynwood, Miami, from 2nd to 8th December 2019.
