Innsbruck (pts011/20.11.2014/10:35) - Innauction is pleased to announce that the first Modern & Contemporary Art Sale, held in Innsbruck on last October 24th and featuring 141 lots of leading International artists, has totalized a succesfull amount of 1 mio Eur.
With a 60 % of participation from Italy, a 20 % from Germany and Austria and a 20 % from USA, United Kingdom and other European countries, the Innsbruck based Auction House has certainly intercepted both Italian and Central European markets, as it was originally planned.
The positive trend on Sale of Italian artists has bee confirmed: Concetto Spaziale, a remarkable white ceramic piece by renowned Lucio Fontana has been sold to a private collection for Eur 153.000 plus buyer's premium. The American artist Salvatore Scarpitta, with its historical Box Kite of 1961 has been auctioned for Eur 300.000 plus buyer's premium. Two important paintings by Arthur Nikodem and Carl Moser went sold respectively for Eur 30.000 plus premium and Eur 7.500 plus premium.
Following the great interested demonstrated in general for Italian works, Innauction is pleased to communicate that on next December 16th at 6 pm a new Modern & Contemporary Art Sale will take place. The auction catalogue will comprend a fine selection of maximum 40 lots, all of great importance, says Dr. Stefano Consolati, Director of Innauction Innsbruck. One of the highlights will be another two pieces of ceramic by Lucio Fontana, estimated 70.000 - 80.000 Euro. Innauction Specialists are at complete disposal for further information.
