Leoben (pts009/08.04.2014/08:10) - A series of audits conducted by Bureau Veritas at the end of March reaffirmed printed circuit board manufacturer AT&S AG's compliance with the standards for quality, environmental protection and workplace health and safety.
All of the AT&S Group's plants have demonstrated compliance with the ISO 9001 and TS 16949 (quality management for automotive production) quality standards, the ISO 14001 environmental management standard and the OHSAS 18001 standard for occupational health and safety.
The AT&S Group applies the highest quality standards in the industry, while continuously improving processes to ensure that it meets its customers' strict requirements. Its internationally certified business processes have confirmed once again how AT&S achieves the optimal combination of quality, environmental awareness, health and safety, and strong business performance with the aid of an integrated management system. The audit highlighted the dedication and commitment of the Group's employees to upholding and improving the high production standards in place at AT&S.
"As a Group with a global presence, the goal at our plants around the world in terms of quality, employee safety and social responsibility has always been to introduce the principles, high standards, know-how and expertise currently in place at our facilities in the West - and to do so to the letter," explained AT&S CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer. The AT&S Group has always played a pioneering role in improving working conditions and implementing environmental protection measures, and is rightly seen as a benchmark for the rest of the industry. This recognition is underlined by numerous awards in China and India, and by the fact that AT&S is regularly invited to share its experiences as a best-practice company at seminars hosted by its customers and by local authorities.
