Brussels/Amsterdam (pts009/07.06.2013/09:55) - DataCore Software, the storage hypervisor leader and premier provider of storage virtualisation software, today announced that it has signed an agreement with storage distribution specialist, Hammer, to resell and provide professional services to support their SANsymphony-V and DataCore VDS software solution in Belgium and Netherlands. DataCore SANsymphony(TM)-V storage hypervisor enables IT consultants and solution providers to answer growing market demand for more cost-effective storage, into tiered storage networks alongside conventional disk systems, as well as taking advantage of rented capacity in the cloud and migrations to software-defined storage. SANsymphony(TM)-V is an agnostic storage virtualization platform that enables companies to avoid hardware lock-in and purchase only the equipment that best suits their business goals. DataCore VDS (Virtual Desktop Server) is designed to deploy and serve virtual desktops. It is a VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) application-specific use case that optimally applies DataCore's architectural advantages to make it practical to deploy persistent 'stateful' virtual desktops at a lower cost and higher performance than alternatives.
