Munich (pts007/15.05.2008/08:00) - Just a few weeks to go before the world's largest solar technology trade show opens its gates at the New Trade Fair Center Munich. Just before its start, Intersolar, which has just moved to the Bavarian capital from Freiburg, has broken a new record with the registration of its 1,000th exhibitor.
More companies than ever before will be presenting their solar products and services on an exhibition area of 76,000sqm - 120% more than last year. Once again, the exhibitors will be organized according to the areas of solar thermal technology, photovoltaics and solar architecture.
The record number of exhibitors confirms the importance of Intersolar as the world's largest solar trade show. The expected number of visitors also reflects Intersolar's significance for the solar industry's experts and decision-makers. More than 40,000 experts from Germany and abroad are expected to travel to Munich this year.
Last year, Intersolar was held for the last time in Freiburg. The large increase in the number of visitors and exhibitors made the move to Munich necessary. The constantly rising numbers are a clear reflection of the importance Intersolar has for the industry - and they show the continuous growth of the solar industry as a whole.
