Vienna (pts005/10.05.2007/09:00) - The acquisition of Correct-Consult Bulgaria EOOD in Sofia represents the starting shot for business activity in the new EU member state.
With the acquisition of an 80 percent stake in personnel consulting company Correct-Consult Bulgaria EOOD, the Austrian Trenkwalder group is continuing its market growth in Central and Eastern Europe. The rapidly rising demand for staff services will initially be satisfied at two locations in the Bulgarian capitol Sofia and on location in Plovdiv. Two further locations have already been planned. The acquired Correct-Consult - one of the leading providers of personnel in Bulgaria - has been active on the market since 2001, primarily for national clients. With the arrival of Trenkwalder, the previous year's turnover of around EUR 50,000 net should multiply many times over by next year. Across Europe, the Trenkwalder group is currently active at over 280 locations in 17 countries, and is the market leader in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The family-run company with headquarters in Schwadorf, Vienna, is one of the top five temping companies in Europe.
New EU member state Bulgaria is one of the up-and-coming markets in Central and Eastern Europe. The current and constantly increasing need for employees in the country and the demand for international personnel consultancy expertise made market entry attractive to Trenkwalder AG. This step was completed with the 80 percent acquisition in Correct-Consult Bulgaria EOOD, founded in 2001. Trenkwalder thus brought on board an established personnel consultant with valuable market expertise as well as a regional and international clientele, such as Bulgarian Industrial Association, Feldbacher Fruit Partners and Unilever.
For Dafina Damianova, who continues to manage Correct-Consult Bulgaria EOOD, the takeover represents a first step towards a successful expansion on the Bulgarian market: "Trenkwalder has already shown in many countries how successful partnerships operate. We provide our specific market expertise, while Trenkwalder looks after international contacts and the professional market presence. This mix will lead to a rapid expansion on the Bulgarian market." In future, the services offered will range from the currently provided personnel consultancy or placement to temporary work, integration leasing, on-site management and payroll services.
