Vienna (pts040/30.05.2006/14:20) - Who at the age of 48 would not want to look as great as Sharon Stone? There's a lot of speculation going on in the media - it is beeing said, that Ms. Stone has spent around 200.000 $ on cosmetic surgery.
"With high probability Ms Stone hasn't had a facelift", says Vienna based cosmetic surgeon DDr. Heinrich, "I assume, that she has spent her money on treatment with bio-identical hormones - a therapy that is beeing widely used in the USA and in France. This strategy is based on asessment of hormonal blood levels. The difference between the hormonal levels in the patient and in young adults is beeing quantified. Based on the results of these tests all necessary hormones are beeing replaced, to bring them up to the levels of a healhy 25-year-old. Only personalized treatment strategies are used."
The difficulty here is to find a way of hormone substitution that does not interfere with the natural hormone-production in the patient's body. The natural release of hormones is controlled by complex regulatory mechanisms. Interfering with this highly refinded system could cause more harm than benefit. However, scientific progress during the last years has made safe hormone replacement therapy possible. Today bio-identical hormones from bio-synthetic sources can be used instead of potentially harmful products derived from human corpses. To DDr. Heinrich only this development has made hormone replacement in aesthetic medicine ethically acceptable.
Hormonal Regeneration® by DDr. Heinrich
Based on Hormonal Replacement Therapy, DDr. Heinrich has developed in years of research the Hormonal Regeneration® by DDr. Heinrich. His Strategy differs somewhat from methods used in the USA. DDr. Heinrich does not recommend lifelong intake of hormones, but instead repeated, cyclical application for a limited time. This elevates hormone levels while leaving time for impaired natural hormone production to recover from their exhaustion. DDr. Heinrich: "We are currently developing a strategy of regenerating endocrine glands. This is done by first rebalancing and replacing the deficient hormones. Then , while the endocrine glands can enjoy some ì restî from their stressfull work that resulted in their exhaustion and impaired production of hormones they are treated with specific therapeutic measures tailored to regenerate them specifically. Therapeutic measures from embryonic cell and stemcell-therapy are used! In the future, gen-therapy will probably make even better regeneration possible."
