Vienna (pts016/31.01.2006/09:24) - "IT - Public Sector & Industries" is one of nine themed conferences within i.convienna 2006, the international congress for ICT and consulting from Feb. 13 to 16, 2006, in Vienna.

The conference is an international forum for ICT policy and business with a strong focus on Central and Eastern Europe and offers information and, even more important, direct contacts with potential partners from numerous countries in Europe and overseas.

The registration for i.convienna contains an option for 1:1 matchmaking in pre-scheduled meetings of 30 minutes; session day is Feb. 15. Registration for matchmaking closes on Feb. 1, 6 p.m.; registrations for the conference run until Feb. 9, 2006.

On day 1, Feb. 13, the ICT ministers from Hungary, Romania and Serbia as well as representatives from public administration, international organisations and ICT associations come together in a closed meeting to speak on national ICT strategies, international cooperation and growth. It is the goal of the conference to support the numerous small and medium sized enterprises in Europe's ICT industry.

Day two, Feb. 14, is open for registered participants and presents national ICT strategies as well as new technologies, in particular from Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

On day 3, Feb. 15, the ICT associations inform about business in their countries. Kay Stripling from the USA speaks on how to get access to governmental projects, and Jonathan Zuck from ITBeuropes' US partner association ACT http://www.actonline.org informs about strategies to growth for ICT SMEs. Romania is presented by ARIES http://www.aries.ro , the Czech Republic by the Czech ICT Alliance http://www.czechict.cz , Serbia by the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and Thailand by SIPA http://www.sipa.org.

On day 4, Feb. 16, associations and special interest groups meet, and ITBeurope presents its new Business Network for international cooperation.
