Paris Hilton too hot for kids
An ad stirs up consternation from parents about indecent exposure

Los Angeles (pte052/24.05.2005/17:38) - A US media watchdog has rallied against an advertisement starring Paris Hilton in which the hotel heiress frolicks with a water hose.

Melissa Caldwell, research director for the Los Angeles-based Parents Television Council - PTC - said that the ad was 'inappropriate for television' and 'basically soft-porn'.

The spot that advertises Carl's Jr's 'Spicy BBQ Six-Dollar Burger' http://www.carlsjr.com/ has the star clad in a scanty black bathing suit and soaping a black Bentley. Hilton's personal tag line states: "That's hot" at the end of the commercial.

The PTC plans to get its roughly 1 million members on the streets to protest the ad.

Marketing chief for Carl's Jr, Brad Haley, said that Hilton "fascinates Carl's Jr's most loyal customers, 'young, hungry guys,' as well as 'young, hungry gals.'"

The company has come under scrutiny before for its ads that mix food with pleasure, one ad featuring a woman eating a burger whilst riding a mechanical bull.
