The mobile phone provider's operating profits rose from 381 million euros to 475 million euros. According to the company, a reason for this is its high-speed mobile Internet offering "i-mode". The number of subscribers using the service has almost doubled from 450,000 a year earlier to 920,000, Bouygues said.
Due to the number of people using its mobile phone division, the profits of the parent company also increased in the past nine months. The conglomerate's net profits grew from 341 million euros to 482 million euros. Over the same period of time the revenue also rose by 6.8 percent to 17.2 billion euros.
