Darmstadt (pte034/26.06.2003/16:21) - T-Online http://www.t-online.de , one of Europe's largest Internet providers, is relocating its company headquarters from Weiterstadt to the neighbouring city of Darmstadt.
The group plans to set up a building complex on the grounds of the Deutsche Telekom's FTZ research and technology centre by the end of 2004. With over 60,000 square metres of floor space, the facility could house over 2,000 employees. The new building is twice as large as the current main office.
The cornerstone for the 190-million-euro project was laid today, Thursday. According to a T-Online press release, the new central office reflects the growth of the company in the past years.
T-Online achieved its first profit in the first quarter of this year, earning two million euros.
