Sport more important than sex?
Less Viagra bought during soccer world cup 2002

London (pte041/14.05.2003/14:34) - According to a new study done in Britain by Isis research http://www.isisresearch.com, men give preference to sport over sex. The study discovered that during last year's soccer world championships the monthly 27.000 Viagra prescriptions plummeted by 50 per cent. This drop in sales was the largest ever, reports the Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk .

Doctors suspect that men see football as a stimulant, getting so involved in the game that sex becomes secondary. The unexpected lull in sales of Viagra and other sex-stimulant medication during this time represents the only drop in the last two years.

Isis researcher Amy Ridler interprets the results of the study: "After years of developing medication for erectile dysfunctions it seems that the fate of new market products is influenced not by advertising, but by a simple soccer game.

Pharmacists haven't counted on seasonal sales highs and lows. They will now have to study the figures more closely.
