Nürnberg (pte029/09.05.2003/14:37) - Nürnberg software developers SoftMaker http://softwaker.de have published a Linux version of their Textmaker 2002 word processing program.
The program has the same palette of functions as the Windows version and is completely compatible with Microsoft, the producers announced today. It can import data directly from MS Word for Windows, PocketWord as well as different TextMaker versions.
TextMaker also offers spell checking in 16 languages and graphics in 14 formats, and can create pdf files. The new version is the first to support TrueType.
SoftMaker brought its word processing software package onto the market in August last year. The program was initially intended for handheld PCs.
The current Linux and Windows compatible versions are available for 49.95 euros each. Both can be purchased for 69.95 euros.
