Madrid (pte032/17.04.2003/14:55) - The Spanish software company Schmiede Cimaware http://www.cimaware.com has released the version 2.0 of its programme WordFix. This tool enables the retrieval of damaged word documents.
WordFix 2.0 is available in three different versions, Standard, Pro and Enterprise Edition. The programme works on Windows and Mac. The Standard version is available for US$89 and offers complete retrieval of damaged text. According to Cimware the document can be retrieved within seconds. There are no restrictions on the capacity of the damaged document. The Pro edition fixes paragraph and page formatting. It can also save tables, footnotes, pictures and graphics and east-European scripts. It is priced at US$149. The Enterprise edition costs US$149 and can restore several word document defects at the same time.
