Vienna (pts015/17.07.2006/12:00) - The follow up to the classic "Nate Adams Freestyle Motocross" [nominated best mobile game in 2005], Freestyle Motocross II continues to excite mobile gamers in 2006. The game "Freestyle Motocross II" was released earlier this year by I-play, the mobile entertainment company, with a totally remodelled engine. Xendex's http://www.xendex.com masterminds have once again reached the limits of technical possibilities. The use of brand new technology means the gamer actually believes he's racing over dunes and unstable ground. With Freestyle Motocross II, Xendex is opening a range of totally new possibilities for the mobile games community

Previous mobile games have been characterised with mostly simple screen animations. The characters are lifeless and their movements seem stiff and clumsy. The Xendex developers, on the other hand, are convinced that the fun you experience when playing does not only stem from a great plot but is also heavily reliant upon the graphic depiction of landscapes and characters. Mud is flying, the engines are revving and the fearless drivers hurtle through the air doing amazing stunts.

This is possible because of a new procedure in graphic transformation. For example, complex mathematical algorithms are now simply left out when it comes to movement structure. Instead, the remainders can be understood as a simple particle simulation. These particles usually observe various rules, such as keeping a certain distance between them. In order to further enhance game performance, Xendex makes use of another trick. The correct status is only approximately estimated, and the calculating effort is distributed among numerous detail screens. This solution may not be accurate mathematically, but it certainly is pretty fast and ideal for the field of mobile games.

Naturally, the game's concept, too, was also improved. The player faces difficult tasks. First of all, there is always a fight against the clock. Moreover, the player has to be faster than his opponent. The most important feature is the access to daredevil stunts. The user can choose between 12 different tricks. Those who succeed will receive the key to four different cities. Attention though! The track is constantly changing. Adverse conditions such as mud, ice, sand or water directly affect the driving experience. The experienced gamer can make use of the new tuning function to cope better with the various conditions. By some clever driving or good competition results, the gamers receive new tuning items such as tyre equipment, shock absorbers, engines or nitroboosts. These are urgently needed to be able to win trophies in future competitions.

Because of the excellent controls, new records are possible every day. It's been a long time since simply hitting the throttle was enough to win. In the new generation, clever balancing, for example, can change the flight path during jumps. Since the controls in Freestyle Motocross II are more sensitive than in the previous version, the game becomes more addictive in the first few minutes!

Freestyle Motocross II is a fun and thrilling mobile game including amazing new features and an enormously high level of motivation. Xendex has once again proven its competence in the field of mobile entertainment.
