Hackers undress virtual DOAX players
Game producer Tecmo threatening with lawsuit

Tokio (pte048/01.04.2003/16:46) - Japanese games producer Tecmo http://www.tecmoinc.com is warning Xbox hackers not to publish patches on the game "Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball" (DOAX) in Internet forums.

The company is upset over unofficial patches (game extensions or revisions), which completely undress the already scantily clad female beachvolleyball players in the game. Although the game for the Microsoft Xbox console http://www.xbox.com/doaxb places emphasis on the eroticism of the players, its creators are infuriated about the so-called "naked patch".

Tecmo has threatened hackers publishing the patches with a lawsuit based on copyright regulations. Similar patches have been circulating in the computer and console games communities for some time now, several of them designed to undress Lara Croft.
