Oberflachs (pts022/29.01.2026/15:45) - In response to growing security and compliance requirements, Carrier Call Ltd. further strengthens transparency in its XCarrier platform by providing customers with full visibility into all third-party components and libraries used within the software.
Security today is not only about secure coding practices, but also about understanding every component that makes up a software product. To support this, Carrier Call now documents and publishes a complete, continuously updated list of all third-party software components and libraries used in XCarrier products. This information is automatically generated with each software update or patch and is available to all XCarrier licensees within the program documentation and help system, which is provided digitally as XWiki as part of the XCarrier program.
Each entry includes the component name, version, license type, full license text, source references, and usage descriptions. This significantly improves traceability of dependencies, reduces licensing ambiguity, and supports vulnerability management, SBOM generation, and audit readiness.
From a technical perspective, this transparency enables customers to efficiently verify dependencies against the CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) database and to quickly identify publicly known security issues during audits, compliance reviews, or penetration tests. Disciplined third-party governance is a key pillar of secure software delivery and complements secure development and operational controls.
