Zürich, Switzerland (ptp022/06.08.2019/14:00) - Today the artist Evelyne Striok announced that several of her works will be digitally exhibited at this year's SWISSARTEXPO as part of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0. The Swiss Arts Festival will take place from 15th to 19th August 2019 in Zurich's Main Station Hall. Her works tell of encounters between the sexes, of connections and demarcation.

Evelyne Striok is an Austrian author and artist. Born in Vienna in 1980, she now lives and paints in Neusiedl/See in Austria. There she can let herself fall and intuitively create her pictures in a meditative process. Her works are masculine and feminine symbols - both flow into each other, connect or repel each other. The stories her pictures tell are universal - the viewer feels understood in his own duality and differentiation. The pictures radiate a pleasant warmth and security - and in all the movement also a calm.

At night her art shines with UV acrylic colours. The realistically distorted forms get a unique effect in combination with black light. Striok's works create their own pictures for each viewer and stimulate imagination and perception - her works can be felt, experienced and seen. Her art not only appeals to the viewer's heart, but also invites him to discover and reflect. When looking at her painting "Angel of Loyalty Lily", for example, one wonders what the big blue that emerges from the tears of Lily means, how it is both threatening and protective, and who it could represent. A man? Or does the vital water come from a leaf and run through Lily's hands like sand in an hourglass?

Evelyne Striok focuses in her pictures on strong, clear colours and clear forms - her labyrinthine pictures seem like a kaleidoscope of different feelings. They tell of tension and happiness, loneliness and cohesion. An enrichment for all the senses.

Evelyne Striok recently published her first artist catalogue. The catalogue will also be shown live at the SWISSARTEXPO in a prime location. If you would like to take a glimpse of the catalogue in advance, you can order it under or Amazon.
