Zürich, Switzerland (ptp025/15.01.2019/14:00) - The Swiss arts festival SWISSARTEXPO, which will take place for the first time in August 2019 in the SBB Event Hall at Zurich main station, will team up with the Flumserberg excursion mountain and the Swiss cable car manufacturer Bartholet. In the jointly launched art project "COLOUR THE SWISS MOUNTAINS", the three companies are placing an important focus on promoting talented and up-and-coming artists.
Artists from all over the world have the opportunity to submit a concept for the artistic design of a Bartholet gondola in a public and free call for entries. Of all the submitted concepts, a winner will be chosen who will be invited to design the gondola and implement the submitted concept in June 2019 in the Marina Walensee in the middle of Heidiland and directly on the shores of the Walensee. From 15 to 19 August 2019, this designed gondola will be a highlight for the public during the SWISSARTEXPO arts festival in the SBB Event Hall at Zurich Main Station. The gondola will then continue on to the Flumserberg, where it will be put into operation from December 2019 on a newly opened Bartholet gondola lift, thus adding colour and creativity to the mountain.

It will bring a wonderful splash of colour to the Swiss mountains, which will delight visitors from all over the world," explains Patricia Zenklusen, founder of SWISSARTEXPO.
Concepts for the design of the Bartholet Gondola can be submitted in electronic form via http://www.artboxtalent.com until 15 March 2019. The winner will be announced on 3 April 2019.
